Planning Committee Open Meeting:

And a good time was had by all. Well, maybe not everyone. The Open Meeting last night, April 28, was very well attended. The Moderators worked very hard in an effort to &quot;Spin&quot; the words they have put into the Comprehensive Plan and were not being well received. I think that their attitude was that we country bumpkins wouldn't be intelligent enough to see through them, but they seemed to be wrong judging from the responses. <br /><br />The only support they received were from some &quot;Green Weenies&quot; and &quot;Green Witches&quot; who were in attendance but vastly outnumbered. <br /><br />The Chub Lake Shoreland Assn. had met previously with the Committee and were casually brushed off by the Moderators from TDK. We were given lip service. I think that TDK was hired and came to our Township with a &quot;Green Agenda&quot; already in place. They seem to have the Met Council's positions memorized and can recite it at a moments notice. <br /><br /><strong>I call for the Township Board to fire TDK and if they must have Moderators, at least hire some who have not already picked a side. </strong><br /><br />I have been told by Committee members that wording that they objected to in the plan, and had removed at one meeting was mysteriously back in place by the next meeting. Observations have been made that lots of items are being discussed away from public scrutiny as well. Comments like, &quot;Well, we know how that has to be worded don't we.&quot;<br /><br />Don't be fooled by these people. If you turn your back the Greenies will stick their plans to you. When the Chub Lake people met with them, we were largely ignored with smug grins of appeasement. You got their attention last night and you need to keep the heat on them. <br /><br />Well Done!<br />
